Now here is a man that needs no introduction. Award-winning actor, director, producer, philanthropist; the list of Leonardo DiCaprio’s attributes is seemingly endless, but most importantly he gives new meaning to the term: acting ‘like a boss’. Here are just a few reasons why…
1. He formed the ‘Pussy Posse’ in the 90s.
Formed of celebrity pals such as Tobey Maguire and magician David Blaine, Leo was the head of this somewhat narcissistic clan of guys who used to tear up the streets of Hollywood on a regular basis. Oh well, I guess it was the 90s so we can forgive him for the bad choice of name but we have no doubt that being part of that crew was something very special and exclusive indeed. How do we apply?

2. He took karate lessons on his private yacht in Cannes.
You know how it is, when you’re just hanging out on your luxury yacht in the south of France, things can get a bit boring, right? Well, this is definitely not the case for Leo, who decided to show off his martial arts prowess for all on board the mighty vessel. That must have been quite something, I tell you.

3. He bought a giant tortoise.
Already possessing a number of rescued pets, Leo DiCaprio – ever the animal lover – decided to purchase an incredibly endangered Sulcata tortoise to live with him and the rest of his menagerie. The only problem is that they apparently live for 80 years so he may need to leave it to somebody in his will.

4. He grew a ‘Man Bun’.
It’s fair to say that if Leo DiCaprio sees fit to do something, the rest of the world tends to follow. Why else do you think you have been seeing guys across the world sporting thick beards with their hair tied in a bun? Leo has set another fashion precedent (in the wake of his famous 90s ‘curtains’ hairstyle) and he literally could not care less whether or not he looks a bit like Jack Nicholson.

5. He’s played it way too cool when he’s missed out on various Oscar nominations.
Who needs an Oscar? Just look at that face…

6. He danced like no one was watching at Coachella 2015.
For the past few years Leo has decided that life is too short to worry about what you look like dancing. Henceforth, he has made it his mission to throw some absolutely outrageous shapes on the dancefloor, especially noted at the last two Coachella festivals.

7. He frolicked in the sun with a watergun.
Is there anything better in this world than running around in the sun with your best pals? Throw a watergun into the mix and you are looking at an ideal day in the world of Leo DiCaprio. Just look at him. You can’t fake that kind of joy, even if you are one of the best actors in the world.

8. He basked in the sun like a cat.
Ok, so it’s a hot day, you’ve got a diary full of meetings, you’re trapped in a boiling car… What do you do? You roll down your window and bask in the sun of course. If it’s what Leo would do, it’s what you should do.

9. He’s, like, the world’s most active celebrity environmentalist.
I’m not being funny, but can this guy get any more perfect? Besides being one of the edgiest – not to mention intimidatingly cool – guys on the planet he devotes an unbelievable amount of time to charity and conservation work. He has his own charity ‘The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation’ which focuses on protecting endangered species of animals, protecting rainforests and oceans and also providing clean water worldwide. Not much then Leo?!
His most recent act of kindness included donating one of his Banksy paintings to AIDS charity amFAR, which sold for $1.1million. And that’s not even a drop in the ocean compared to how much he’s raised over the years. Leo, we salute you.

10. He’s never touched drugs.
What a great lesson to round up this post with. Apparently, Leo grew up in a less-than-savoury part of LA, which taught him very early on that he never wanted to touch drugs. You might find this doubtful if you’ve watched Wolf of Wall Street, but he absolutely insists that he spent a great deal of time researching for the role. He really is just that good an actor.
